Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead
Teacher Rosie has created an altar in the office to honor and remember loved ones.  Everyone is welcome to contribute! If you’d like, you can bring a photo (a copy, not an original) or a small item that represents someone special to you. This is a beautiful opportunity to share memories, celebrate life, and learn about this meaningful tradition together.
Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri 11/10, 12-14, Conferences: TK-6th Minimum Day Schedules
​Minimum days for Parent-Teacher Conferences. TK-K gets out at 12:10. 1st-6th gets out at 1:10. Rec available until 5:15 for all grades at the usual rec rates, if applicable. Sign up for a conference time with your teacher.
Tuesday, 11/11, NO SCHOOL - Camp available
School out for Veteran's Day. Camp available for students 8:15-5:15. Flyer. More Info.

Running Late, Feeding Great
Pacific School is partnering with Second Harvest to help support families in our county — and we’d love your help! A donation can will be in the office foyer soon for any non-perishable food donations.
New for 2025: If your student happens to be running late, have them bring a non-perishable food item when they come to school. It’s a lighthearted way to turn tardiness into kindness — and together, we’ll help feed lots of families!  This is not mandatory, but come on....it's a great way to contribute!

PS- even if your student is always on time, feel free to pitch in.

Pacific School Weather Station is Back!
Over the summer the old station failed due to long term salt air corrosion.  The new station from Tempest is designed for marine environments. The station data is now live on the following digital sources.
The Tempest website for the station is : https://tempestwx.com/station/158159/  . If you click in the area with the current temperature, it will reveal more detailed information. See the first two attachments
If you are using Weather Underground, you can view Davenport weather on a web browser by going to : https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KCADAVEN22.  See the third attachment for that screenshot.
If you are using mobile apps you can either use the app's map feature to find Davenport to add the station or use its station ID to lock it in. For iPhone or iPads I suggest PWS Monitor app. It's free and very easy to use. The station ID is KCADAVEN22.
