Pacific School’s Home Study Program

Pacific Elementary School District offers a full-time Home Study Program. The program is designed to support home learning as an educational alternative for students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. 

Students and families in the full-time Home Study Program benefit from:

• Guidance of an experienced, passionate, and credentialed teacher, Joy Haas
• Curriculum materials proven to be effective for home education and distance learning
• Flexibility of approach so that each student and family can be successful
• Optional small group classes online daily
• Local peers that students may already know or may develop relationships with that can last into the future
• Involvement in an public school with a decades-long tradition of leadership in meaningful hands-on, real world educational opportunities and an award-winning Superintendent/Principal

​Home-based education provides a natural setting in which parents can deliver an individualized method of instruction that matches the child's unique interests, ability, and learning needs. Students attending Pacific Elementary's Home Study Program are enrolled in the Pacific Elementary School District, and are provided with materials following the District's curriculum guidelines and California state frameworks. The parents of students requesting the Home Study Program at Pacific School should recognize that home-based education at the elementary level must include commitment and dedication on their parts.
